Education is the key

Education gives you the key to success in  the skills in life , academically, educationally , politically and socially .Additionally , it gives you confidence in new situations. It encompasses teaching and learning specific skills , and also something less tangible and more profound : the importing of knowledge , positive judgment and well developed wisdom . Through education people are aware of the world around them so they can become productive members of it.It behooves us all to be smarter and more intelligent people.
It is very important aside from haveing money ,Education is the bridge to enlightenment and and to go out from the cave of problems and people will follow discipline and no conflicts will be.
Education is the most amazing gift that the human race can give itself.
For me education is very important.I am currently a full time university student but we should remember the family and the friends  and we have to make sure we still have fun so we don't get burnt out.

Parent's background reflects the student' s condition

 This picture reflects a religious family who pray all together and they are all hand by hand facing the difficulties of the life.The families are different from one house to the other. Every family has its characteristics and all the children hold them and bring them to their school.
Home background plays a significant role in a young child’s orientation to literacy and to education and parents are a positive influence in their children’s everyday lives, and most importantly in their everyday education, the future of our society will look brighter and brighter everyday.But we can see many successful students have bad conditions in their homes and tough and poor background.

Don't forget to smile to your students

I  have found this picture in my Facebook page and it really attracted me .It represents the smile that is missed these days ,the real smile that is coming from heart especially the teacher.The smile by the teacher can solve any classroom misbehaving  if not it can decrease it .In my opinion ,great teachers are always positive and always smile. If you show respect for the students, they give it back to you.Teachers always made learning fun in this way and they genuinely care about kids.A smile costs nothing but gives much. It takes but a moment, but the memory of it sometimes lasts forever. Yet a smile cannot be bought, begged, borrowed, or stolen, for it is something that is of no value to anyone until it is given away. Some teachers are too tired to give a smile but they should always have the magic action of smiling.

Our Education System

This is our educational system  in Lebanon.This drawing represents the real condition of some educator's mentalities about examination and evaluation.It represents the unfair condition that the learners are passing .We as teachers we should always remember that students have different abilities , different ways in studying , different learning experiences , different and multilpe intelligances , different levels of proficiency , different strengths in domains:cognitive, effective , psychomotor and  linguistics.I know that the exam should be one and unified but it should be valid and reliable in order to have valied and reliable results .A fish can't climb a tree with her strange characteristics :small and aquatic.An elephant is too big but can't climb but the bird is so small and can easly fly to touch the top of the tree and to the target.The same way the student are also different and each student is brilliant in one domain or talented in a skill and here is the skillfullness of the teacher is to discover this and nurture it to grow and have independent and a brilliant generation.No student is stupid be sure of this the innovation and credibility are there within them we as teachers we must know our job where isit.

Teaching Diploma

This is my fourth year in teaching English as a foreign language in a private school.I have started learning TD  since the last year.During the last and this year i have changed a lot.I have discovered many essential and important things in teaching . I have discovered that patience is the key for a good teacher and good teaching.TD gave me the microscope to see many details i was not paying attention to them.I started to  have more deep look in every step i do in my class and during the lesson.I feel blessed  when i see my students are very attentive and enjoying the lesson .I have learned my new methods in managing  my students behavior which reflected a great difference between my first year and in those two years of teaching.I became more creative in how to use the texts, the stories , the class materials ,preparation and the rules of the classroom and the school.I started to feel the skillfulness of teaching.I feel my self more specialized in teaching .Year after year , i can feel the pleasure of teaching is increasing and inspiring me toward proficiency .I think every one can teach but not every one can feel the pleasure of teaching.I always hear my colleagues are nagging about  teaching and i  never heard  one teacher is saying something nice about it.Teaching  from heart is very rare these days .I advise every  teacher to have  the TD courses in order to feel the pleasure of teaching.

Exam's anxiety ..is it a hidden factor !!!!!!!!!!!

How can we explain an A student  becomes sick before the exams ?So let’s say you have a test coming up , am sure as a student u will ask your self  such  questions ,why i feel worried ?why my hands are cold?why i feel like am daisy?would i success or fail?am i ready or not?do i go to do the exam  or not?am i well prepared or i didn't do so?why i can't remember the information i have read? ooo my God my head will explode :(
As a teacher we should take this in consideration and don't  ignore or neglect or  react with it as  notorious  issue .As a teacher my duty is to help my students to be strong and cross this  problem or obstacle for reach  success.I should talk to  them in way that makes the exam something nice and not fearful thing or something sacred that decides the students's fate.As a skillful teacher i should change the way they think about the exam and studying by avoiding scramming because it is ineffective way of study which is to study before one night  or couple of hours before the exam.We should teach our students that the idea of exam is just to see how much are you engaged and interested in the course and it also helps you to find out the misconception that the teacher will re-explain it again for you.We should teach our students to become courageous and trust them selves.We should build their characters and their personalities in a  way that makes  them study for them selves not for the teacher and not for the exam.We should increase the curiosity inside each student in a way that break the ice-wall and win the round.

o0o0o0o00ops Learning or Acquiring?

what is the difference between learning a new language or acquiring a new language?let us remember the small child when he or started to acquire a new language is he learning a new language too? yes he or she is doing so. Acquiring a language happens subconsciously without a teacher ,teaching ,rules ,homework ,exams or classroom.This is equal to the children who acquire their first language so they develop their abilities by themselves and the meaningful  interaction with their environment .They don't need to learn grammar and how to use the function words and the basic rules but pick up the language .They care for the message they want to speak not the form of the language.
Learning is the process when the child have the knowledge consciously with grammar rules of the new language (second language) .The have to apply it in the production of this language.In our country they the students study the  English language as a second language via going to school and have English classes , exams  and assessment .

A teacher or a mother ?

  Is the teacher a mother too inside the class room  ?should she ?do you think inside the kindergarten classes the teacher should be a mother? 
In a way the mother educated her kids inside the family and how she creates that strong bond within its members.The teacher and the mother must be in one person and as one heart for those kids.They need a teacher who has rules to let them follow it in a strict way because being mean is a part of education and a part of being a mother in the same time. To be a mother in the class for those kids is not just to kiss them take care of their clothes say nice words but it is to have them become socially successful in the way they react inside the class and outside it.In this age those kids need caring and love and i have taught kindergarten and there were many cases when some kids have changed from gnarled and  messy to caring and dutiful .At the beginning of the school year i have faced many problems inside the class because of his mess.I couldn't even hear my voice when i was teaching his friends .They were  really terrible days.After the first half of  the school year i started to know him more and discovered that his cure is to have some care and love .We became friends and he was telling me stories in a way that i can't believe  a small 4 years old kid can say this and has such imagination. To sum up,when you feel that your students need to have u as a mother in order you should be a mother for him or her.Being a mother helps to complete being a teacher. 

The pleasure of Teaching

What makes teaching pleasurable? did you ever ask your self or another teacher this question?i think it is how each teacher looks to her or his career .Of course they have different perspectives.Many of us teach for money and to have a good life some how or to have some money for her or his family or kids .I think those don't feel the pleasure of teaching .They have overloaded days with exhausted bodies and minds.Some of teachers have depression because the lack of teaching pleasure.I think it is just a kind of life punishment to wake up early and go to a place full of mess and loud voices ,stress and anxiety.I rarely hear teachers say that they love this career or they feel the pleasure of teaching students, i don't know why .Its my forth year in teaching and i'm gladly speaking i feel the pleasure of teaching year after year .Teaching diploma 's courses are the source of this feeling and this self confidence .I am happy because i really know what i am doing but sometimes i think that Teaching is one of the most careers that make depression ,don't u think this too?

Integrating Technology with Education

Education and technology have started to be two important elements in Teaching.They became very connected to each other since 20 years ago.In this course ,many important work will be done according to our instructor Amal Farhat .This integration become a necessity in these days in all schools.The teacher should be a person full of knowledge and experiences in order to create the products of this integration.Using the technology is not a random thing or a work that comes from a vacuum but from a logic relation between the objectives and the kinds of technology the teacher will use to have a productive class.This course teach us how to be logic in choosing the  right technology device  to the class and the students.There are many teachers here in our class and i am sure this course will enlighten us with many experiences and methods in teaching. In result,when the teachers are creative the students will be also creative and independent learners.
