In a way the mother educated her kids inside the family and how she creates that strong bond within its members.The teacher and the mother must be in one person and as one heart for those kids.They need a teacher who has rules to let them follow it in a strict way because being mean is a part of education and a part of being a mother in the same time. To be a mother in the class for those kids is not just to kiss them take care of their clothes say nice words but it is to have them become socially successful in the way they react inside the class and outside it.In this age those kids need caring and love and i have taught kindergarten and there were many cases when some kids have changed from gnarled and messy to caring and dutiful .At the beginning of the school year i have faced many problems inside the class because of his mess.I couldn't even hear my voice when i was teaching his friends .They were really terrible days.After the first half of the school year i started to know him more and discovered that his cure is to have some care and love .We became friends and he was telling me stories in a way that i can't believe a small 4 years old kid can say this and has such imagination. To sum up,when you feel that your students need to have u as a mother in order you should be a mother for him or her.Being a mother helps to complete being a teacher.
It's definitely important for a teacher to have some characteristics of a mother, but still she needs to make them sense independence by showing them the rules and guiding them to follow them, thus showing them that they are not in their house and they have some duties to be done. but I don't agree with you that a teacher should be mean, she can show her role and strictness without being mean. On the other hand, it is well known and proven that a teacher must create some kind of close and good relationships between the teacher and the students and thus encouraging learning, also that would develop a very warm and interactive atmosphere and trust would be developed between both.

ReplyDeleteIn my opinion teachers are the second mothers for the students because students spend a lot of time with their teachers. Mothers are not born being great mothers but as their experiences with their kids expands they become experts on the field, same as a great or a good teacher becomes through many years of training and experiences in the field. All teachers have the key to provide a good environment for the students, the teacher must create a warm and protective environment for her students so if they feel secure in the classroom the result will be shown in the academic progress.
